    Explanation: DNA is a genetic material found in the nucleus of a cell. mRNA is made by copying the DNA in a complementary manner in a process called transcription. After mRNA is produced, it leaves the nucleus and moves to the ribosome where it is used to make polypeptide chains which are packaged into proteins in a process known as translation. DNA cannot leave the nucleus but an mRNA can.
