As a human we share almost 99% of our DNA with plants and other animals for instance, Banana, Cats, Dogs, Gorilla, Cow, fruit Flies, etc. First, there is only one type of DNA! ALL animals and plants share the same DNA which is basically a code of only 4 'letters' which is the code for the same amino acids from which all proteins are made. Genetic code is the set of rules used by living cells to translate information encoded within genetic material (DNA sequences) into proteins.
