What will most likely happen if the temperature is increased to 40°C? Bicarbonates will be formed at a faster rate. Bicarbonates will be formed at a slower rate. Bicarbonates will be broken down to form carbon dioxide and water. Bicarbonates will be formed at the same rate but not transported to the lungs.
