    Subatomic particles:

    Atom consist of twelve different kinds of subatomic particles but only three are known as Fundamental particles. These three fundamental particles of Atom are

    1) Proton

    2) Neutron

    3) Electron

    Both proton and neutron are found in nucleus of Atom and make up atomic mass while electrons revolve around nucleus of atoms in orbitals.

    Modern Periodic table is based on atomic number and arrange elements on the basis of their increasing atomic number. Atomic number is number of Protons present inside nucleus or the number of electrons revolving around the nucleus.
