The movement of air masses is due to changes in the weather pattern.
Explanation:
air masses are basically huge regions of air that share similar characteristics like - temperature, ground surface conditions, humidity and moisture. They are build due to stagnant air around a particular region for quite a period of time.
jet streams also known as steering winds play an important role in navigating or steering the air masses. The cold air masses are directed to lower latitudes and the hot air masses are directed towards higher latitudes.
Due to the temperature differences between the cold and hot air masses the steering wind increases. Therefore, moving the air mass away from its originated regions.
