Based on the pattern of inheritance, do you think the mutated Huntington's and sickle cell genes are dominant or recessive?

    I think they are recessive.

    Huntington's is definitely a dominant trait. Only one gene contributed by one parent is needed for the disease to show up in the child, which gives the child a 50% chance of inheriting the disease. Sickle cell anemia is recessive because a child has to inherit genes from the mother and father to have the disease.
