Carbon dioxide concentrations are expected to increase, because fossil fuel burning is expected to increase, because of an increase in agriculture and because more land will have to be cleared for increasing populations and agricultural use. These are just some of the reasons that carbon dioxide concentrations are expected to increase. Additionally, the greenhouse effect leads to carbon dioxide being trapped inside the atmosphere.
