One of the main evolutionary features of plants is that they are generally capable of reproducing both sexually and asexually. Another important evolutionar feature in the plant kingdom is the incidence of polyploidy, which is higher in this kingdom. The polypoid is a genetic phenomenon produced by duplication of whole genomes and/or complete chromosomes, this phenomenon produce changes in the expression levels of critical transcription factors and may lead to speciation
