What are salts and how do they differ from Acids?

    salt is the ionic compound containing two groups of positively charged ions (H+) and negatively charged ions (OH-).

    An acid is defined as a substance whose water solution tastes sour, turns blue litmus red and neutralizes bases. Salt is a neutral substance whose aqueous solution does not affect litmus.
