Explain the relationship between crossing over and genetic variation

    Hus, when the sister chromatids separate, each chromosome is not the same as when it started--all traits from one parent or the other. Crossing over increases genetic variation. Crossing over is the process by which genetic material is exchanged by non-sister chromatids during meiosis
