Oxygen debt is the temporary oxygen shortage in the body tissue arising from exercise.
Explanation:
Oxygen shortage is when extra oxygen is needed by the muscle tissue to oxidize lactic acid after an exercise.
During exercise, the body often requires more energy and then needs to get more oxygen into the muscle tissue where it's needed.
