In mendels pea plants, the homozygous recessive phenotype was white flowers. If Mendel crossed two homozygous recessive pea plants, what color flowers would be seen in the offspring?

    Homozygous recessive means both alleles are recessive white.

    Crossing two homozygous will have the result:

    w w

    w ww ww

    w ww ww

    So the offstprings will have a 100% phenotype of white, since they are all homozygous recessive alleles.
