Macromolecules are the guts of cells. These are larger molecules found in a cell. There are four classes of macromolecules - polysaccharides / carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Carbon is the major component of all bio molecules. 96% of the dry weight of cells consists of macromolecules. Proteins are abundant than other biomolecules in a cell. Amino acids are the monomers of proteins.
