    Explanation: The mass of methane that is stored in the hydrates has sufficient amount of methane that can be compared to the carbon reserves. Methane is a gas used as a fuel which is known to be the carbon source.

    Until last 10 years, anyone had hardly heard of the carbon reserves as methane hydrates but now these compounds are known to be the used as carbon reserves.

    It is found in the sea floor to be used as an energy source in the future.
