During interphase they're are 2 stages first one is Gap 1 (G1) where the cell grows the second phase is the synthesis phase (s phase) is where DNA is replicated and gap 2 (G2) where the cell grows even more. This leads to mitosis/meiosis which leads to cytokinesis
