    The cell wall is a structural layer that surrounds the cells and is present outside of the cell membrane, specially the plant cells. The animal cells lack the cell wall. The organisms or cells which have homologous pair of chromosomes are said to be diploid, the animal cells are diploid and not haploid. The mode of reproduction in most animals is sexual so they do not reproduce asexually. The organisms which prepare their own food by photosynthesis are autotrophs.

    Animals consume other plants and animals, so they are heterotrophs.
