How do the resulting cells at the end of meiosis compare to the original cell from the beginning of meiosis?

The daughter cells come together to make another identical parent cell.

Meiosis may be defined as the process of a cell division in which cell divides to multiply its number. The meiosis occurs in the germ cells or the sex cells of the organism.

The single cell divides into four different cells. The daughter cells has half the number of chromosomes as compared with the earlier parent cell. The DNA content is also half in the earlier cell and the daughter cell. The cells are genetically identical but contains the reduced number of chromosomes.
