    Explanation:

    The resources with in any ecosystem are limited and hence they can allow only a certain population to sustain.

    When the population grows, the competition for limited resource be it food, habitat, water, etc. increases among the species and in such scenarios the one which is the most fit species survive and rest all die.

    The carrying capacity is not at all affected by the increasing population. It is a fixed parameter with in a ecosystem and hence with increasing population the carrying capacity of ecosystem is reached faster.

    Hence, option C is correct
