For plant stem length, the dominant allele for height is T and the recessive allele is t. If a heterozygous parent for tall stem length crossed with a homozygous recessive parent for short stem length, what would be the phenotypes of the offspring? Include the probability percentages or fractions in your answer.

    Most likely the offspring would be short stem. One parent has a dominant allele for long stem and a recessive allele for short stem and the other has two recessive short stem alleles, making the percentages 25% for tall stem and 75% chance of being a short stem plant.
