Describe how you would determine whether newly discovered cells are prokaryotic or eukaryotic

    If they are eukaryotic, you should be able to find a nucleus and nucleolus, as well as many strands of DNA or Chromatid. You will also likely be able to see a phase of mitosis or meiosis within the nucleus. Prokaryotic cells do not have one in the first place.
