The organ has pathogens that the body wants to destroy.

    Answer: Because it doesn't recognise that it is an organ.

    Explanation:

    It's like putting a foreign object in your body and the immune system recognised it as an enemy or virus and does what it would do to a virus. Tries to destroy it. If you wanted to have a more successful transplant you could try immunosuppressant
