    256

    Explanation:

    Given the following dа ta:

    Trout growth in 1992 = 4

    Trout growth in 1993 = 16

    Trout growth in 1994 = 64

    Checking through this, the ratio of trout growth in a present year to the former year is 4

    Therefore, the trout growth in year 1995 = 64 * 4 = 256

    Answer / Explanation:

    If and after properly studying the question, we can interpret the question and to deduce that:

    We can say that the right figure here would be 256.

    For further clarity, it we a take a good look at the given data, we can clearly observe that the range of period between:

    1992 to 1993 the trout population increased to the square of the size of the population. That is 1992 = 4

    1993 = 4² = 16

    While also, in 1992 and from 1993 to 1994 it increased to the cube of the size of the population in 1992. That is 1992 = 4

    1994 = 4³ = 64

    Hence, the question then asked, If it continued to grow exponentially, in 1995 it would increase to the the size of the population in 1992 to the fourth power, which is 256.

    That is in 1992 = 4

    1995 = 4⁴ = 256 making 256 the correct answer.
