What do you notice about the ecological footprint of the United States compared to other countries?

    It's large compared to other countries, but only because of consumerism

    Explanation:

    The United States is the 5th largest ecological footprint in the world, with about half the population contributing to that factor, however this is only because the United States runs specifically on capitalism and consumerism, so every citizen contributes one way or another. America uses high energy and fossil fuel consumption with high functioning biological resources in carbon cycling. So although comparing California to France (because California has a larger footprint.), it's not a fair comparision due to technology
