    The mitochondrion is an important organelle in the cell, whether it is muscle or other. It represents the power plant of the cell (where the Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation occur). Muscle cells need a lot of energy to function (contraction and relaxation), so it is quite logical to find more mitochondria in muscle cells than in skin cells, which have a simple role of coating.
