What do we call the process of water turning into a atmospheric gas?

    When water becomes a gas, all of the molecules go flying apart and become a gas (much like when you boil water and the water begins to steam). The process of gas molecules leaving the liquid to go into the gas is called "evaporation." The opposite process is called "condensation."
