Explain why water logged soils are usually deficient in nitrates

    Low levels of oxygen in/by the root zone causes soil & plants to turn deficient and die.

    another reason is because anaerobic microbes that have gotten waterlogged create a toxic/bad waste that harms its surrounding living plants.
