A cow has 60 chromosomes in each of its body cells. how does mitosis function to maintain this number of chromosomes

    When this cow forms gametes, the daughter cells have 30 chromosomes, But as this fuses with the other parent gametes to form a zygote, the chromosomes number again is 60.
