    Answer;

    C. Left atrium to left ventricle to body

    Explanation;

    -Blood enters the heart through two large veins, the inferior and superior vena cava, emptying oxygen-poor blood from the body into the right atrium. As the atrium contracts, blood flows from your right atrium into your right ventricle through the open tricuspid valve.

    -When the ventricle is full, the tricuspid valve shuts. This prevents blood from flowing backward into the right atrium while the ventricle contracts. As the ventricle contracts, blood leaves the heart through the pulmonic valve, into the pulmonary artery and to the lungs, where it is oxygenated. The oxygenated blood then returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins.

    -The pulmonary veins empty oxygen-rich blood from the lungs into the left atrium. As the atrium contracts, blood flows from the left atrium into the left ventricle through the open mitral valve.

    -When the ventricle is full, the mitral valve shuts. This prevents blood from flowing backward into the atrium while the ventricle contracts. As the ventricle contracts, blood leaves the heart through the aortic valve, into the aorta and to the body.

    The correct sequence is D. The blood flows from the left atrium to the left ventricle and then to the body.

    The primary function of the left atrium is to hold the blood that returns from the lungs and then pump that blood to other parts of the heart. the left atrium wall is thicker than the right wall. The blood from the atrium flows to the left ventricle which is situated under the left atrium through a valve.

    Now from this left ventricle the blood flows through aortic valve and to the rest of the body. So basically its the oxygenated blood that flows through the ventricle to the body.
