In 1928 Frederick Griffith conducted an experiment in which he injected mice with different kinds of bacteria when bacteria that cause disease (pathogenic) were injected in healthy mice, these mice got sick and died. Other types of bacteria (nonpathogenic) did not cause the mice to die. Griffith took the DNA from dead pathogenic bacteria and transferred it into living nonpathogenic bacteria These altered bacteria were then injected into healthy mice The mice died of the same disease caused by the bacteria were then injected into healthy mice. The mice died of the same disease caused by the pathogenic bacteria, based on this information which statement would be a valid conclusion?

When DNA from one organism is transferred to another organism, it can give new traits to the second organism

    Explanation:

This simply refers microbial transformation. it occurs as a result genetic alteration of the recipient cells and DNA by the injected DNA. The new DNA Cloned the recipient DNA, and therefore altered the genetic sequence to its own. Generally it may occur naturally or induced as in the equation.

In this present scenario, the pathogenic DNA, transformed the Non pathogenic DNA, by cloning them, thus making them pathogenic, leading to them death.

The process that occurred if called transgenics. The process of transferring DNA from organism A to organism B, this causes the organism B to develop new traits. It is understandable that when mice B was injected with the non pathogenic bacteria with the new DNA it died, because the bacteria now had pathogenic DNA.

    Explanation:

Transgenics has many advantages especially in creating therapeutic medicines to treat diseases.
