    Reason 1.

    Water is polar molecule while nucleotide is an organic molecule and is not soluble in water.

    Reason 2

    Nucleotide is the main component of nucleic acid, while water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen.

    Reason 3

    The nature of bond n both molecule is different.
