    I'm sure it's true since before doing a science experiment/If you're trying to figure something out, you need a Hypothesis.

    Scientific enquiry is a step by step process to check a given scenario on the basis of assumption, research and analysis to compare the results obtained with a predetermined concept, phenomenon or law. Thus, it can be said that in a scientific query the researchers has a pre idea of the result.

    For example - Newton's said that all motions are governed by its three laws. Now if any motion in the natural world is observed, which is further investigated by any researcher to find the governing force behind it, then some where the researcher would have a presumptive thought in his/her mind that the motion will be falling under any of the three laws of Newton.
