    Explanation:

    The electricity produced using water is called hydropower has benefits like it does not pollute the air. If water is used to produce electricity than every state can produce its own electricity without relying on other states for fuel.

    With these benefits, hydropower is very costly and it has several other drawbacks also like it pollutes water and reduces the oxygen level in the water. So it is a threat to wildlife. It reduces recreational activities like swimming, boating, and fishing, etc.
