Sorry for taking so long to answer your Question.
The molecules are being broken and split apart but the identity of the substance is the same.
Example - If you broke glass its still glass. If you Chop Wood it's still wood. Cut a banana its still a banana.
On the other hand ..., If you burned wood its chemical composition Changes into most likely Ash. So that would be considered a Chemical Change.
So there's the differences.
