oxygen atoms contain 16 times more mass than hydrogen atoms.

hydrogen has only 1 proton and no neutrons so it has an atomic number and mass of 1

oxygen has 8 protons and 8 neutrons so the atomic number would be 8 and the mass would be 16

it takes 16 hydrogen atoms to make one oxygen atom
