Certain human genetic disorders may occur more frequently among one ethnic group than another because of peoples ancestry being traced to a certain location in the world that may be more prone to specific human genetic disorders because of the conditions of the environment. also, people in different ethnic groups often share certain genes that may hold a disease-causing gene mutation.
