The probability to predict traits can be determined by the outcomes of a punnet square. The punnet square is a diagram which illustrates the possible genotype and phenotypes of the outcomes of a cross. Punnet squares use probability to predict the combinations of alleles in a genetic cross. The combination of alleles determine the probability of traits being transferred from parents to offsprings.
