Describe how overgrazing of grasslands by animals can cause desertification to occur

If the animals eat too much and pull up all the grass there will be nothing that catches rain and slows it down so the soil will start to wash away and with that the nutrients the soil has will wash away too and then the animals will die from no food being grown for them to graze.
