The three most important features of an etiolated plant are:
1. These plants do not have any chlorophyll for manufacturing their food as these plants live in the dark or in places of insufficient sunlight.
2. These plants do not have large leaves as leaves do not function the same way as in case of plants that live in sunlight.
3. The stems of these plants become highly elongated and there is very poor development of stomata and mechanical tissues.
The etiolated plants have the capability to survive in places where there is no or very poor amount of sunlight.
