    The infection of the reproductive organ, fallopian tubes and uterus is known as pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID). PID causes pain at the lower abdomen and it is a serious complication of sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea and chlamydia. However, the consequence of PID includes infertility, abscess formation, ectopic pregnancy and chronic pelvic pain.
