Numbering 1-5, indicate the order of structures through which sensory impulses pass as they enter the spinal cord and travel toward the brain.

posterior (dorsal) root ganglion, posterior (dorsal) root, posterior gray horn, white column, and spinal nerve

Numbering 1-4, indicate the order of structures through which motor impulses pass as they descend from the brain and leave the spinal cord.

    Afferent flow - signal flow form the nerve to the brain

    1 - spinal nerve

    2 - posterior (dorsal) root

    3-posterior (dorsal) root ganglion

    4-posterior gray horn

    5-white column

    Efferent flow - signal flow form the brain to the nerve

    1 - white column

    2-anterior (ventral) gray

    3 - hornanterior (ventral) root

    4-spinal nerve

    Answer;

    Sensory Impulses; enter spinal cord to brain. The order of structures through which these impulses pass is;

    -spinal nerve > posterior dorsal root ganglion > posterior dorsal root > posterior gray horn > white column

    Motor Impulses; descend from brain and leave spinal cord. The order of structures through which the motor impulses pass include;

    -white column > anterior ventral gray horn > anterior ventral root > spinal nerve

    Explanation;

    -Sensory neurons receive impulses from the sense organs (receptor cells) and carry them to the spinal cord or brain. Interneurons connect sensory and motor neurons and interpret the impulse. Motor neurons carry impulses from the brain and spinal cord to muscles or glands (effector cells)
