    C. carbon each have four valence electrons, allowing carbon to bong as many as four other atoms

    and for atoms to be stable their shell should have 8 electrons looking at the no. of shells they have. some need 16 and some 32. for carbon it needs 8. leaving four spaces empty they need to fill them up to be stable themselves.
