N a laboratory, an albino mouse was treated with a chemical, resulting in a somatic mutation that induced a skin tumor. The mouse was able to survive. What affect would this mutation have on its progeny?

    A somatic mutation is one in a body cell, not a sex cell, therefore it would not be passed on to the offspring.
