It is exclusively a philosophically naturalistic perspective of universal reality that is allowed in any hypothesis of the origin of life, meaning only the interactions of elements that through naturalistic processes that are allowed for any postulation of what could precede the appearance of life. However, chemical evolution that attempts to explain the interaction of abiotic materials, elements, compounds, molecules and assemblies are mythological, just as is Darwin's "warm little ponds" and increasingly, the primordial soup of Oparin-Haldane. There are no naturalistic processes capable of any significant organization and assembly of biochemical compounds. The physics law of entropy does permit assembly of some materials, even simple amino acids and sugars, but nothing even close to what is required in an organism, even of the simplest construction. The lab experiments that have been performed and have demonstrated some biochemical assembly have been intelligent design, highly managed efforts that are not geochemically relevant to primordial earth conditions.
