Dormant oocyte 1X, growing oocyte 5X, mature oocyte 25X. Tb primary oocyte is approximately 25 micrometers in diameter. After growth, the growing oocyte will reach 200 micrometers in diameter, and eventually, the mature oocyte could reach 2 centimeters in diameter, in humans.
