How is gender determined in humans

    We humans, like all plants and animals, have our genetic information saved in the form of chromosomes. The eggcell, from the mother, has an X chromosome. The spermcell however, can either have another X chromosome or a Y. When the 2 fuse together you get XX, a girl, or XY, a boy.
