Which trophic level has the least amount of energy available for the next highest trophic level?

    Energy is lost as you go up the trophic levels. Therefore the trophic level with the least amount of energy is the secondary consumers.

    Note: I'm not sure where decomposers fall in the food chain. I did not say decomposers as they are and can be present in any trophic level.
