YES, I believe that bush meat trade threatens African wild life. Hunting of wild life is as full scale job in some African countries and this trade runs in some family from generation to generation, which means that a lot of wild animals had been killed in the time past and this had led to the extinction of some animals. If this thread continues unchecked wild animals will soon finish in the forests.
