Explain two ways which ground water can become polluted.

Groundwater can become contaminated through human activities such as the spread (run off) of chemicals used in fertilizers and pesticides. It can also become contaminated naturally. An example is toxic metals which can be present in sediment and rock and also present in groundwater.
