Cell cycle regulation: how does a cell know it's time to divide

    "Parent" cell in the cell division are the cell that is dividing into two "daughter" cells. In order for the cells to know if it's time for them to divide they are using chemical signals from special protein called cyclins. These chemical signals will tell the cells when to start dividing and when to stop dividing.
