    Dominant allele - A

    recessive allele - a

Hetero zygotic for PTC: Aa (expresses the allele)

Homo zygotic woman: aa (doesn't express it)

    The cross: Aa x aa

    The offspring's probability:

2/4 = 50% aa (homozygous recessive) - phenotype: feels the bitter taste

2/4 = 50% Aa (heterozygous) phenotype: doesn't feel the bitter taste of the PTC
